Students explore the remains of Cabaret, Tour Régine, Surdespine and Quertinheux, witnesses of nearly 4000 years of occupation. The guided tour covers medieval history, site archaeology and the role of the Cathars during the Albigensian Crusade.
Depending on the children’s age, the visit highlights troubadours and the ladies of Cabaret through courtly love, poetry and medieval musical instruments. A fun and cultural approach that captivates students’ imagination.
The exhibition presents troubadours and their works, as well as the concept of “fine amor”. Students discover emblematic figures such as Raimon de Miraval or Peire Vidal, and take part in an interactive game on medieval instruments inspired by the Quercorb Museum in Puivert.
