The gîte combines historic charm with modern comfort, offering the perfect setting to unwind. The two terraces offer views over the vineyards and the village rooftops, naturally inviting you to slow down and enjoy an authentic stay, immersed in the local heritage.

Pottery workshop in the heart of the medieval village

The pottery workshop takes place in the heart of the medieval village of Aragon. Accompanied by the gîte owner, a qualified ceramist, you will have the opportunity to discover or perfect the art of wheel throwing. Workshops are offered on a one to one basis, ensuring a personalised approach to passing on traditional craftsmanship.

Nature and discoveries around the gîte

Surroundings invite walks through vineyards, mountain biking and cultural discoveries. The location allows easy access to Carcassonne, Narbonne, Montolieu and the Canal du Midi, as well as the Montagne Noire and the Pyrenees landscapes.

"This introductory pottery workshop is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with the material and discover the simple pleasure of creating with your hands. Designed as a special experience, this lesson takes place on a one-to-one basis to offer you personalised guidance and a true immersion in working with clay. During this session, you will create your first piece on the potter’s wheel, in the form of a cylinder, which you can keep in its raw state as a souvenir of your experience. Due to the drying time required for the clay, the finishing stages — trimming, firing and glazing — cannot be carried out during this introductory session, which is particularly suited to short stays. The essence lies elsewhere: feeling the clay, getting to grips with the technique and treating yourself to a moment of calm and well-being, to the rhythm of the potter’s wheel."

Conditions & Validity

This package is available from Tuesday to Sunday inclusive. The pottery workshop is not available from Sunday to Tuesday.
In July and August, a minimum stay of 3 nights is required.
