An audio guide (also available in foreign languages) will lead you through fascinating stories enhanced with games, interactive content, and augmented reality.

Immersive visit in the heart of the Middle Ages

Perched on its rocky outcrop, the castle has also been completely transformed! From the outside, you will still admire its imposing walls and three towers that have withstood wars and the passing of time, but inside, the scenery is entirely different: welcome to the 14th century. In each room, the furniture, seats, and weapons are astonishingly realistic. You might even believe that the famous Gaston Fébus and his court are still living here! Discover the great ceremonial hall, the count’s chamber, the armory, the scriptorium…

A medieval adventure for young and old alike

The fortress terraces also come alive with hands-on workshops led by characters straight out of the Middle Ages, such as La Chignole, Cordilh, or Brunissende. Learn how to handle medieval weapons, forge, carve stone, or even operate impressive war and construction machines… you might even be recruited as part of the workforce!
