Your hunting and conviviality program

Friday: Welcome and Check-in

From 4 PM, the owner welcomes you to a rural Gîte de France. Enjoy a comfortable stay: equipped kitchen, individual rooms, linens provided, welcome basket, firewood, and Wi-Fi. Tourist information is available: restaurants, local producers, and walking routes.

Saturday: First Hunt at Dawn

At dawn, the owner accompanies you to meet the battue leader of the local hunting association. After checking permits and insurance, safety instructions are given. Trackers identify traces, posts are assigned. The hunt begins: dogs launch the chase, hunters stay at their posts with their packed lunch. At day’s end, the horn signals the return. Butchering and sharing of wild boar meat by lottery.

Sunday: Second Hunt and Departure

A second hunting day takes place in another area chosen by the battue leader. After butchering and sharing, keys are returned and departure.

Séjour 2 chasseurs - gîte en 2 épis (prix/personne) base 2 personnes 189€

The price includes

Base 2 hunters:

  • Accommodation in a rural lodge (2 or 3 ears depending on availability), single room, 2 nights (sheets included)
  • 1 welcome basket per hunter
  • 2 days of traditional hunting in driven hunt at the post (Saturday and Sunday)
  • The civic gesture: a contribution is donated to the Association "Loisirs et Nature en Hautes Corbières" for the maintenance of vineyard fences to limit game damage to crops
  • Hunting bag not guaranteed, however the annual average is 150 pieces
  • In case of high temperatures, hunting will take place in the morning

The price does not include

  • Electricity consumption: a package of 2 kWh/day/person is included in the price. Beyond that, consumption will be paid at the end of the stay to the owner (based on meter readings at arrival and departure)
  • Tourist tax to be paid on site

Conditions & Validity

  • Booking anticipation period: 3 working days
  • Dates set by the prefecture according to the massifs: Open from October 10 to January 31
  • Maximum number of participants: 10 rifles per weekend
  • For information, the Hunting Association has between 10 and 25 hunters per driven hunt

Conditions for postponing the date

Depending on weather conditions: the day before arrival, the hunter can call the driven hunt leader or the hunting president (numbers will be provided on the voucher) to ensure that the weather conditions are normal and favorable for the next day's hunt, without being able to anticipate possible deterioration during the night. If conditions are unfavorable, the hunter can reschedule the booking for another date.

Essential

The hunter must have a valid hunting license for Aude: national or temporary validation (to be booked directly with the Aude Hunting Federation subject to license validation for the season), the big game stamp, and must be able to present their insurance certificate.
