On your visit agenda
A unique underground immersion
In the village of Portel-des-Corbières, at the foot of the mountain and facing a majestic landscape, you board the Terra Vinéa Express. This picturesque little train takes you to the entrance of a former gypsum mine, exploited by miners from 1807 for nearly two centuries. At 80 meters underground, you discover monumental galleries transformed into a true underground cathedral, a unique setting for an exceptional cultural journey.
A journey through the history of wine
In this spectacular environment, aging barrels of the Cathedral Cellar punctuate the tour and guide you through the major stages of the viticultural history of Narbonne. Immersive reconstructions of a Roman villa, a medieval banquet, and a museum of vineyard tools illustrate the richness and diversity of winemaking traditions through the ages.
Animations that awaken the senses
Throughout the visit, your senses are stimulated: a sound and light show enhancing the vaults of the Cathedral Cellar, innovative virtual animations, guided tours in summer, or audioguided visits in the low season. Every detail helps make the experience both educational, entertaining, and unforgettable for all ages.
A convivial tasting
The visit concludes with a complimentary guided tasting of local wines carefully selected. This moment of sharing extends the journey in a spirit of conviviality, ideal for families, couples, and groups.
