Your adventure begins aboard a maxi sailing catamaran, unique in Roussillon. The crew and naturalists welcome you and explain the day’s itinerary.
During the first hours, the catamaran sails under motor to cover distance and locate cetaceans. Once spotted, the approach is made under sail, gently and respectfully.
For 10 hours at sea, observe dolphins (striped, bottlenose, Risso’s), pilot whales, sperm whales and the majestic fin whale. Spot fish like sunfish, tuna, swordfish and seabirds such as shearwaters and terns.
Naturalists lead fascinating talks on cetacean biology and Mediterranean conservation measures. An educational and immersive experience for all.
This catamaran trip offers excellent sighting opportunities, with an average success rate of 99%, and even 100% over the last two years. However, as encounters take place in a natural, open environment, sightings of the animals can never be 100% guaranteed. Whales are mainly visible from April to June, whilst dolphins can be spotted all year round.
Due to the length of the trip, we strongly advise against booking children under the age of 8, to ensure their comfort and well-being on board.
For wheelchair users, please note that the toilets are not wheelchair accessible as they are too narrow.
